Better Call Saul: 10 Season 6 Fan Theories (That Could Come True)
1. Gene Dies
How many people can come out of this world alive?
Jesse managed a happy-ish ending, mostly because the fans would have rioted had he met with an untimely end. On the other hand, Walt met his ultimate fate, as did Mike, Gus, Hector, Chuck, Don Eladio, Tuco, Uncle Jack, Lydia, Todd, Hank, and 'Gomie' Gomez. Frankly, the list of deaths is massive.
What makes Jimmy so special? Was he not as at fault for everything that happened as anybody else? We now know that pretty much all that has come to pass in the Breaking Bad universe has been directly or indirectly because of Saul Goodman. His dealings have so often ended in death, so why would his fate not then be the one that he has been dodging for so long?
Saul has always been great at getting out of almost hopeless situations, and every single time he has faced down a gun he has managed to wriggle free. Surely then, there has to come a day where even he can't talk his way out of a life or death situation.
Whether this involves a shootout with the cops (unlikely), or Huell busting in and throttling him (also unlikely), it is sure to be exciting. The one thing that might count against him dying, is that it would follow the trend of most other characters in this world - which could be seen as such an underwhelming end for the brilliant character that he is.
Jimmy McGill is long gone. Saul Goodman plotted a path that led to his destruction. Will Gene really just slide into another character and slip away? Or will it finally all come back to take him after years of trying to outmanoeuvre everybody?
Likelihood: 6/10
