Better Call Saul: 10 Season 6 Fan Theories (That Could Come True)

3. Mike Kills Nacho

So far, two outcomes for Nacho's current predicament have been covered. However, there is another more tragic possibility for Nacho.

What if, when getting away from Lalo's compound, or having been ostensibly rescued by Fring, Mike kills Nacho?

Mike is the right hand of Gus Fring. The pair share a strong bond over their losses and their deep lasting anger; the very tool by which they eventually are destroyed.

When Nacho's freedom is on the line and Gus is giving the order, will Mike really disagree with his boss again and walk away? It is doubtful, as this would be retreading old ground that has already been done in the season before. One thing that we know about Gould and Gilligan's writing by now, is that they don't retread old ground.

Mike likes Nacho, he wants him to be kept alive because ultimately he sees him as a good kid. Nacho hasn't ever betrayed Gus or Mike, and such loyalty is something that Mike values. In some ways, Nacho and Mike's relationship mirrors Mike's own to Fring.

To be honest, it's hard to see Nacho making it out alive, though not impossible. For an audience to see Mike pulling the trigger after the situation has escalated out of all control? That would be the ultimate sad ending for Nacho.

Likelihood: 6/10
