Times have changed. A choice was made and the universe diverged. And now all of history is at war.
One man stands at the centre of it all. But whose side is he on? Is he with the angels? Or the demons? And does anyone even know which is which? He was a Doctor once, but now he is Doctor no more. He is the Warrior. The Doctor of War.
This release also came with a gorgeous trailer by Chris Thompson which you can see below:
This change, which will be discussed in a moment, has resulted in a Marvel 'What If' scenario, and a new universe of stories has opened up. So let's take a look at how Big Finish just altered Doctor Who's Biggest Moment! Big spoilers for this set to follow...
10. Original Universe Context
So what happened in the original timeline?
Genesis of the Daleks nears its climax with a very iconic scene. The Fourth Doctor, Sarah and Harry are deep within the Kaled bunker, on their mission for the Time Lords to stop the Dalek's creation, or to avert their nature and make them less aggressive creatures.
This mission comes to a head when the Doctor reaches the Dalek mutant incubation chamber and has the plan to blow it up. But at this final moment he hesitates, the Doctor of our universe is no killer, this scene shows it.
Could the Doctor just wipe out the Daleks? Has he that right? If he did, he would become like them, becoming the killer if he chooses to wipe them out when they are defenceless and before they've even properly become Daleks. The Doctor even says that some worlds will thrive through their fear of the Daleks, but is that worth all the potential lives lost in the process?
Take a look at the moment below:
It's no exaggeration to say this is one of Doctor Who's most iconic scenes of all time.
