Malvo is the kind of man who spends six months preparing for a job. He is a professional hit man who can change his character, appearance and history to suit the assignment in hand. When Lester catches up with Malvo a year after their first meeting, Malvo is in the middle of a mission. Lester is sitting in a Vegas bar when he spots Malvo sitting with a group of people. Lester comes over to chat but Malvo is undercover and pretends not to know him. When Malvo and his friends leave, Lester follows them into a lift and demands that Malvo acknowledges that the pair know each other. Malvo, clearly miffed, but still completely in control, asks Lester one simple question: Is this what you want? The new confident Lester pushes his luck. Smirking, Malvo asks him again. Lester replies yes, unsure of what madman Malvo will do. Pulling out a silenced pistol, he kills everyone in the lift except Lester and declares thats on you.
