Black Mirror: 5 Reasons Why It's The Best Thing On TV

1. It Pushes Boundaries

BlackMirrorPig If you watched the first series of Black Mirror you will understand what I mean when I say the show is one that certainly isn't afraid to push boundaries and address even the most taboo of subjects, namely, to what lengths would a Prime Minister go too in order to save the life of a kidnapped member of the Royal Family? Well, it turns out those lengths involved pig sodomy, aired live on television to a disbelieving general public no less. The National Anthem, the opening episode of Season 1 of Black Mirror and which depicted these unnerving scenes, featured one of the single most uncomfortable moments of television viewing and really showed just how dark and twisted the inner recesses of Charlie Brooker's mind really are. But we love him for it. He provides us with challenging and engaging plotlines that no other TV show would dare approach and ones that consistently have us on the edge of our seats. We demand a third season. Are you a fan of Black Mirror? What did you make of this week's episode? Let us know in the comment section, below.
