In the series, viewers get to see a griffin - a creature with the body, tail, and back legs of a lion, the head and wings of an eagle; and what appears to be a winged adaptation of a chimera - this one with a lion's head and body, a snake tail, and goat horns.

These creatures of myth respectively act as flying steeds for the two opposing figures of Heron and Seraphim, protagonist and antagonist alike. The creature design out of Powerhouse Animation is one of the series's brighter points, and the steeds in particular have been visually stunning, building on the fantasy element even more.

Another winged steed many might be familiar with is the Pegasus, which appears late into the series when misfortune befalls Heron's trusty griffin, rounding out the fair number of mythological winged steeds. There's plenty more winged creatures in Greek Myth in general that have yet to make an appearance in the series, and may very well make their debut in the upcoming season.
