BoJack Horseman Season Six: 10 Best Moments

6. Todd’s Family Life

Todd’s always been the easy-breezy character of the show, given one episode each season for a wacky escapade. This time around though, there was a bit more substance to it.

Other than learning about his friend Emily, we don’t really know anything about his history. It’s not until he realises he’s asexual that he gets any major development at all, really.

Since then though he’s moved out of BoJack’s place, told BoJack how things are (in the infamous ‘it’s you’ speech) and now we’ve gotten even more insight to Todd’s life. His step father, Jorge, visits and it’s clear that the two are not on good terms. After learning his mother is in a coma, it’s obvious that Todd doesn’t get along with her either.

One typical goofball Todd scheme later though, and they have Todd’s kidney back; that he’d previously sold it to buy Brokeback Mountain sock puppets is hilarious in itself.

As well as their zany antics though, Todd unloads another tingly truth bomb. Jorge only wants to be proud of Todd on his terms, and won’t accept Todd being happy if it’s not something he can be proud of. Yet again, Todd proves he has wonderful insight.
