Breaking Bad: Each Main Character Ranked From Worst To Best

4. Hank Schrader

Breaking Bad
AMC

Hank Schrader had one hell of an arc on Breaking Bad. The ultimate macho-man and a top dog in the DEA, he was the husband of Marie and best friend of Walt. Boisterous and blunt, his hard as nails demeanor took a serious hit after he was nearly killed by the Salamanca Cousins and began suffering from PTSD.

Up until that point, Hank had been the stereotypical badass on the surface, but with his confidence shaken and his relationship with Marie on the rocks, something changed within him, allowing him to become the true hero of the entire show. Desperate to capture Heisenberg once and for all, Hank became a one-man army willing to do anything and everything to fulfill his duty.

In the latter seasons of the show, he dismantled Gus Fring's empire and finally uncovered the truth about Walt's second life. He would have succeeded in bringing his brother-in-law down, but his tale ended with his and his partner's death at the hands of Todd's twisted uncle, Jack Welker.

Hank was the hero Breaking Bad deserved, and seeing his development from energetic man's man to compassionate, heroic number one good guy was one of the show's biggest joys.

Aidan Whatman hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
