6. What Did Paul The Priest Do?

Though he was always presented as a man of the cloth, Paul was one of the favourites to be unveiled as the killer in the first season (even at considerably shorter odds than Mark Latimer, in fact) and there's always been a suggestion that he has demons. By his own admission, Paul had a dark past, but he "turned away from it" towards the light, which helped him see the benefit in offering counsel to Joe. So what did he do? There was briefly a suggestion in the finale that he might be the one to deal with Joe after his release, but that turned out to mean considerably less than it could have, but that served only to highlight the fact that the question remains hanging open.
