Brooklyn Nine-Nine: Every Season 7 Episode Ranked Worst To Best

7. Ep. 11: Valloweaster

Brooklyn Nine-Nine
NBC

It goes without saying that the Halloween Heists are one of the most beloved parts of Brooklyn Nine Nine. it gives the cast and writers a chance to really ratchet up the insanity to eleven, unleashing a plethora of no-holds-barred antics and mind-bending twists. Unfortunately, when the show made the move from Fox to NBC, it began airing earlier in the year, meaning that the show would no longer be airing during Halloween. Thankfully however. the writers didn't let that deter them.

This episode takes that problem and runs with it, with the Heist starting out on Halloween, before being postponed to Valentine's Day, then Easter - hence the amalgamated title. It still features all the insane twists and betrayals that the audience has come to expect from the heists, yet it doesn't feel stale or repetitive.

The same is true of the characters, who continue to become more and more obsessed with taking out the trophy each year. One of the more outrageous examples of this comes with Amy setting up fake therapy sessions for Jake to attend, just so she can eavesdrop on him and plant ideas in his head. While this would usually be seen as abhorrent, when it comes to the heist, anything goes.

It's an incredibly fun, clever and creative episode that not only continues a beloved tradition, but takes it to new heights. It's a testament to the show's creativity that the seventh heist is one of the best.
