18. Mythic Quest
Mythic Quest has been one of the comedic gemstones in Apple TV+'s crown since it launched in 2020, and when its fourth season began at the start of last year, its future status remained firmly up in the air.
The season ended on an agonising cliffhanger in March, only for Apple to confirm a few weeks later that Mythic Quest was indeed cancelled, leaving fans irate that the show concluded on an ambiguous non-ending.
However, Apple also announced that a new "revised" ending would be added to the episode, and though fans hoped it would provide some closure to the unresolved romantic storyline between Ian (Rob McElhenney) and Poppy (Charlotte Nicdao), that wasn't quite what happened.
The new ending instead just deleted Ian and Poppy's climactic kiss and kept things platonic between them as the end credits rolled.
Unsurprisingly many fans saw this as a cop-out - a cheap retcon of the original kiss ending rather than exploring its fallout in a meaningful or funny way.
