Cobra Kai: Ranking Every Character Worst To Best

1. Johnny Lawrence

Who’s the man? Are you the man? We didn’t think so. There can be only one. Once original top student, now sensei extraordinaire, Johnny Lawrence is truly the star of Cobra Kai. His charisma is just undeniable.

Johnny’s quest for redemption is equal parts endearing and depressing. He's your middle-aged dad who was out of the picture for years, yet you can't help but take pity on. He's so badass.

While revisiting one’s high school triumphs in middle age is shaky at best, it’s obvious that Johnny needs any kind of anchor before making a fresh start. Despite his problematic relationship with karate and former sensei, John Kreese, reopening Cobra Kai gives Johnny that anchor. And good grief, does he ever need it!

As Cobra Kai progresses, we revel in Johnny’s successes and commiserate with him in his failures. Despite being out of touch with his students’ values, he grows into a healthy mentor they trust and look to for support. At least, until Kreese takes over. But there’s no way we’ve seen the last of Johnny and Cobra Kai. What part of badass do you not understand?!
