Community: 10 Worst Characters Who Appeared After Season One

6. Prof. Eustice Whitman

Sony Pictures Television

Played by: Stephen Tobolowsky

Maybe it's because the majority of his screen time is spent mocking a clearly debilitated young man (Abed), or perhaps it's just his egotistical self-assurance, or is it the fact that students are paying a tuition fee to learn "Who's the boss?". Well, whatever it is, Professor Eustice Whitman is easily the most unlikable character that appears on this list, maybe even the most rage-inducing of them all in the entire series.

When the Professor of Television Studies(?) gains the unexpected genius of Abed Nadir in his not so academic class, he's wildly underprepared to deal with the adolescent's submerged intelligence. Initially berating and insulting him as he writes Abed's answer off as nonsensical, simply because it didn't come from his own mouth.

While this is incredibly infuriating to watch and makes you wish you were in Videodrome so you could reach through the TV and assert a very real punch to his face, the vindication comes soon after and it's true what they say. Revenge is sweet.

Apparently, Dan Harmon thought this too, as with giving the series the sense of legitimacy as he does with all of his work, Professor Eustice Whitman is never seen again after Abed causes him to have a mental breakdown, which is told to the audience by Professor Professorson - sorry - Sean Garrity.
