4. The Car Seat - Mister Softee (Season 8 Episode 9)
Midway through season eight, Curb briefly left Los Angeles for a short stay in New York City. To avoid a charity event, Larry joins the Greenes on a three-month break on the East Coast. But this change in climate does not prevent the social anxiety cloud that haunts Larry's everyday life.
Naturally Larry's return to his home city was no relaxing vacation and when his car seat starts to have mechanical problems, the consequences are comedy gold.
Earlier in the episode, Leon reveals to Larry that the broken seat was, as he put it, "a moving dildo", explaining why Larry's girlfriend was not in the mood. Such faulty machinery was a hazard for any person sitting in the seat. To the horror of Larry, the person who would next occupy the seat would be who else, but Susie!
Susie demands an emergency lift to a friend's apartment nearby and, to his dismay, Larry reluctantly accepts. The ride goes as expected and despite his efforts to drive slowly, Susie experiences a ride that she will likely never forget. The scene is a classic example of a Curb plot culminating with an outlandish yet hilarious conclusion.
