Daredevil Season 2 New Trailer Breakdown: 25 Things You Need To See
22. The Yakuza
After last week set up Daredevil vs The Punisher as the central conflict of Season 2, this trailer adds another enemy into the mix: the Yakuza. They of course played a part in Season 1, alongside Wilson Fisk, but were driven out of Hell's Kitchen by Matt Murdock - or so he thinks. However, they're back in business, and that can only be bad news for Matt and Hell's Kitchen. They'd taken advantage of its ruined state in the wake of the Battle of New York before, and now with Fisk out of the picture, they obviously feel the time is right to come in and attempt to build a criminal empire once more, putting them on a collision course with Daredevil, Elektra, and quite possibly The Punisher. It's also worth noting that it's Elektra who mentions them, and comes to Matt for help, so the suggestion is that she is very much tied up in whatever it is the Yakuza are back in Hell's Kitchen for.
