DC's Legends Of Tomorrow Season 1: 8 Ups And 5 Downs From 'Progeny'

3. The Work Of Cory Gruter-Andrew

Legends of Tomorrow Per Degaton Progeny
The CW

Arguably the standout part of Progeny was the performance of young Cory Gruter-Andrew as 14-year-old Per Degaton.

Throughout the entire episode, Gruter-Andrew was fantastic, but even more impressive was the sinister undertone he brought to this little tyrant-in-waiting. There was an undercurrent of eerie menace from the first time we saw Per alongside Vandal Savage, and the sinister side of the character was fully amped-up in his confrontation with Rip Hunter.

Of course, following this, the final moments of Progeny would see Per, at the behest of Savage, kill his father while he slept, marking him out as total little sh*t! During all of this, though, Cory Gruter-Andrew played the part absolutely perfect.
