Doctor Who: 10 Ingeniously Tiny Clues To Big Plots

8. The Tenth Doctor Has Trouble Letting Go

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uKoSbpSdx1U Shortly after the Ninth Doctor became the Tenth Doctor, he began examining his new body, and no, the "clue" I'm using here isn't going to be that he regenerated with sideburns to compete with Mickey Smith. The newborn Doctor remarked that he had a slight weakness of the dorsal tubercle. Now I'm no biologist €“ anatomy does come under biology, doesn't it? €“ but a little research will tell you that a dorsal tubercle is what connects the tendons in your hand. Whilst actual biologists/anatomists will probably tell me I don't know what I'm talking about and the hand is a complicated instrument, the dorsal tubercle is linked to the tendons. The tendons control grip. And Ten never could hold onto the good things, or let go of the bad things. Huge coincidence? Almost certainly. Clever implications? I like to think so. Just imagine Russell T Davies sitting in his office, his tenure mapped out in front of him, thinking of a brilliant little foreshadow to mention in the Doctor's opening moments. It's a lovely thought.

Mark White hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
