By: BrianAW. The Tenth Doctor, trapped inside a living painting in an art gallery on the moon. I'll let you into a little secret. I do not much like this one, personally. However, one of the criteria for this list was that it should be a 'genius creation'. And it undeniably is. It's certainly arresting. If you enter Dr Who in the search box on DeviantArt under 'all categories' then this comes up at the top a lot. It annoyingly caught my eye every time, because it's so well constructed as a picture and I found I couldn't stop looking at it. The surreal melting Doctors on the end of the Tenth incarnation's fingers are like sticky bubble gum. The whole notion of a living painting is right up there as a Doctor Who story in any case. The thing is with this piece of digital art is that it rewards repeated viewing and that's often a sign of good art, too.
