What's especially good about it is that apart from the Time Lordy drawings in the background and the title of the piece, there's nothing to suggest this is actually The Doctor. But it undeniably is and that's the point of caricature. We get something of the essence of the Eleventh incarnation's personality and you can almost imagine him saying,
"I'm an emo now. Emos are cool!"
The picture is drawn using vector graphics and is intended for a desktop size 1024x768. At first seemingly simple, the picture has a lot of skill in it. Look twice at the background colours, and how the symbols are drawn out of focus to bring more attention onto the subject. This device gives a sense of immediacy to the work. Above all, I think that it is a great comment on the personality of Matt Smith as an actor that he lends himself to being portrayed in this manner.
