Doctor Who: 5 More Predictions For 50th Anniversary Special

2. The Daleks And The Zygons

Daleks AND Zygons... this is a treat! And yet, what an odd combination. When the Daleks appeared from the 'void ship' at the end of 'The Army of Ghosts' (Series 2, Episode 12) to battle the Cybermen it was momentous - two of the Doctor's oldest and most important enemies battling it out in the ultimate showdown but the do the Zygons inhabit the same spot in the nation's hearts? No, so I don't think that either of them will be as important in this story as the Daleks and the Cybermen were in 'Doomsday' (Series 2, Episode 13). I think that we are going to be shown a journey through the Doctor's past much in the manner of 'The Big Bang' (Series 5, Episode 13). Watching the trailers for the new special you can hear Matt Smith's Doctor saying the words 'I remember this, well almost remember...' I think this has quite a literal meaning, he is talking about an event that happened in his life. The Doctor will be forced to confront his past by literally revisiting it, I think that he is being drawn back through his personal time-stream and will be visiting multiple locations and events from his life, a couple of these will include Zygons and/ or Daleks only breifly. Pretty simple really, if you can think backwards - how very Moffat.
