Doctor Who: 5 Ways To Bring Back Paul McGann For More On Screen Adventures

4. A Web Based Series Of Eighth Doctor Minisodes

8th Doctor Web Episodes Or perhaps 'Night Of The Doctor' set a precedent for something new. If there isn't a big enough budget to stretch to televised stories with Paul McGann, what about further 5-10 minute stories showing us more of the Eighth Doctor? What I loved about this minisode was that it gave us a glimpse into the horrors of the Time War without showing the big and possibly impossible-to-film events that took place. It was all about the reaction of poor Cass (Daleks. Timelords. Can you tell the difference anymore?), the desperation of the Sisterhood of Karn and the Eighth Doctor's own defeated mood. Perhaps we can more little snippets of how the Time War began, seen through the eyes of the Eighth Doctor and the people he encounters. Alternatively we could look back to his travelling days between the TV Movie and the Time War. Maybe even a cameo or two by now-canonised Big Finish Companions such as Charley or Lucie? On a relatively small budget audiences could finally get to see more Paul McGann, lighting up the screen as the dashing Eighth Doctor.
