5. The End Of Time

Doctor Who The End of Time

You would think that this would be one of the LAST episodes to show to a newbie. After all, this is The End of Time, one of the most famous finales in the show's history, a celebration of everything Russell T. Davies introduced in his legendary run. How accessible can an episode like this really be for a new fan?

Turns out, actually pretty accessible all things considered.

While knowing everything that precedes it makes it an even better experience, The End of Time remains a fantastic episode regardless of how much you know about the rest of the show.

The Doctor, after 3 seasons of adventures and doing some rather horrible things in order to avoid his prophesied death, finally comes to one last confrontation with his oldest enemy, The Master. With the war mongering Time Lords threatening to return and The Master set to conquer the Earth, The Doctor may finally have to face his end in order to save the day one last time.

It's a harrowing, tragic, yet uplifting story, and one guaranteed to make a diehard fan for life out of any who sees it.
