Doctor Who: 10 Great Tenth Doctor Stories

9. Turn Left (Story 197, 2008)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6iTJSDq7ocw A great episode showing exactly what happens when the Doctor isn€™t there to save the world. London is destroyed, America is destroyed and the whole world is on the brink of collapse. This is no great surprise given that we€™re talking about a world where, even with the Doctor alive and doing things, the Daleks still managed to take over the planet in the mid- 22nd century. While some of the incredibly non-subtle political commentary was something I could have done without (I strongly doubt that we€™d have all the non-English people being put into camps, for example), and while I REALLY could have done without Rose (Billie Piper), I still liked seeing how horribly wrong things could have gone without the Doctor. Plus it was a lovely chance to see Donna (Catherine Tate) have her own episode, and I€™ve always liked Donna.
