Doctor Who: 10 Most Powerful Daleks Ever

6. Supreme Council Dalek (Planet Of The Daleks)

With its distinctive gold and black colouring, glowing eyestalk, movie-style ear-lights and base, this Supreme Dalek was a one-of-a-kind.

More brusque and impatient than other Daleks, this interesting looking addition to the hierarchy was also particularly trigger-happy.

Only appearing in 1973's Planet of the Daleks, this Supreme was a member of the Dalek High Council and was sent to Spiridon to sort out incompetent Dalek underlings.

In the fashion of a manager being called in to fix a problem, this Dalek arrived at the Spiridon base, instantly exterminated the Dalek Section Leader and took control. The operation: build yet another army to conquer the universe.

The Third Doctor managed to later steal this Dalek's ship and trap it on the planet, but this high-ranking member of the Skaro elite would have easily been able to escape, terrorise another planet, and terrify some lesser Daleks.

An imposing figure, the Supreme Council Dalek struck fear in both the Daleks and their enemies. Its unique design and minor appearance has awarded it cult-status and it is now a firm fan-favourite.
