5. Doctor Gets Poisoned

Amy Dr Apple All through out the episode, the Doctor keeps asking for an apple. All throughout the episode, all he wants is an apple. Throughout whatever he and Clara go through, he just keeps mentioning an apple. And Clara finally gets him something akin to an apple on whatever planet they end up on. And he gets poisoned. For ease purposes, we€™ll say this poison has no effect on humans, so Clara rushes around the TARDIS, trying to find something that will let him regenerate. She tries reading the Gallifreyan book we all remember bares his name, but can€™t get through it. Here€™s the stinger: The Doctor is incredibly calm. Not because he thinks he can cheat death, but because he€™s content in dying. This could be a little on the humorous side, because we could have Clara ranting about how she€™s saved him from Daleks, and Cyberman, and don€™t make her mention Elizabeth the First, and she can€™t save him from this poison. Finally Clara starts giving him vials to drink, not knowing what does what (which could instill some laughs as well, as who knows what they cause), and finally they find the right one, and he begins to regenerate. His last words could be Apples really are rubbish. Who poisons him? Well, that sounds like a great story arc for Twelve, doesn€™t it?
