Doctor Who: 10 Potential Ways The Eleventh Doctor Could 'Die'

3. Saves Clara At His Own Expense

Doctor Who Stars Jenna Louise Coleman And Matt Smith 1888155 €œHumans. I never thought I€™d get done saving you.€ Even though this is pretty standard, think about it. Clara was born to save the Doctor. She believes (and probably is true) that it is why she was put on the Earth. She€™s saved him countless times, we honestly have no idea how many times; the possibilities are endless since she stepped through his time stream. I think letting the Doctor die for her would really kill what she believes she is. So if the Doctor and Clara in the middle of whatever battle they€™re in, and he sees that she€™s about to be hit and jumps in front of her, she€™s going to have a conniption. She€™s definitely going to be worse than Rose, because she€™s going know what€™s going on, and feel like it€™s her fault. It would be interesting to have a few episodes, where, like Ten and Rose, Clara has to warm up to this Doctor, and he has to prove to her that he doesn€™t blame her for not being able to save him every time. This could upset fans, because it will make Clara different again. But for my money, the best companions are the ones that change over time. Clara has been headstrong and independent and exactly what the Doctor needed after the loss of the Ponds. She€™s the Doctor€™s Impossible Girl, the Girl Who Saves the Doctor. But maybe now she needs to step down, and lean on the Doctor a bit. It would be interesting to have a regeneration that affects the companion more than the Doctor, and had that shown. Have we really had that since Rose? And even then, it was one episode. I€™m saying that this regeneration shows Clara that she€™s not immortal, and neither is the Doctor.

I'm currently attending my local college while trying to figure out who I am. I love Doctor Who, Sherlock, really any BBC show. I've also been told I'm a bit of a nerd. Specifically, a theatre nerd.
