Doctor Who: 10 Predictions For The 10th Anniversary Of NuWho

10. 26th March 2015 - Minisodes

During Steven Moffat's tenure on the show, fans have seem a number of online minisodes, from the Series 6 episode prequels to the adventures of River Song on the same series DVD boxset. But of course, none were as successful as the 50th anniversary surprise that was the Eighth Doctor's long awaited return - and regeneration - in The Night of the Doctor. The 10th anniversary of 'Nu Who' will not be as big as the 50th celebrations of the show, and nor should it be. But the chances are Moffat and the BBC won't let a decade of rebooted Doctor Who go by unnoticed. So instead of a big cinematic extravaganza like The Day of the Doctor, a series of minisodes would be the perfect opportunity to celebrate some of the show's more recent history. Revisiting old villains, past companions, potentially a Doctor or two - what better way to celebrate 10 years of Doctor Who then with a peak into the Nu Who's history online without overshadowing the main series itself? Plus it would make for some great extras on the next boxset!
