Doctor Who: 10 Things You Didn't Know About The Pantheon Of The Gods
1. The Trickster Has A Plan For Harriet Jones?!
During the lockdown tweetalong for The Stolen Earth and Journey's End, Russell T Davies revealed that disgraced Prime Minister Harriet Jones escaped her apparent death at the plungers of the Daleks.
This new fate for Harriet built on a poem that had originally been written by James Goss and illustrated by RTD for the anthology book Now We Are Six Hundred. Davies shared the image on Twitter, along with an enticing tease for a potential future episode of Doctor Who.
Harriet escaped! Her bike zoomed under the Dalek saucer, into the helicarrier of Miss Fitzpatrick's Collection, a cabal of billionaires. And far away, the Trickster smiled as another piece in his long game fell into place... But that's a story for another time #SubwaveNetwork pic.twitter.com/769IWC1Us6

Now sure, Russell wasn't Doctor Who showrunner back in 2020, and he could've just been teasing us. However, these tweetalongs did ultimately lead to the RTD2 era, and we know that Davies has recycled some unused ideas already. Dot and Bubble, for example, was originally an idea he'd had for an episode well over a decade ago, while the whole Sutekh thing was something he'd been imagining since he was a kid.
So are we about to witness the return of Harriet Jones, former Prime Minister? With Sutekh, Mel, Kate Stewart, and everyone else returning these days, you certainly wouldn't bet against it.
