Doctor Who: 10 Unanswered Questions From The Revived Series
10. Is Osgood Really Dead?
Kicking off the list of NuWho's unanswered questions is fan favourite Osgood whose untimely demise in the Series 8 finale Death in Heaven shocked the fandom to its very core. Did they really just go there? Apparently, they did. First introduced in the 50th anniversary special The Day of the Doctor, the UNIT scientist was instantly welcomed into the heart of the show's community and not only for her inspired dress sense. Throughout her first appearance she was wearing Tom Baker's iconic scarf and then she took a leaf out of the Eleventh Doctor's book by brandishing a rather magnificent bow tie. If they weren't cool before, they certainly are now! Unfortunately her ability to dress to impress didn't save her in the end as she ultimately succumbed to Missy's evil bidding when the renegade Time Lady blew her to smithereens and had a bloody brilliant time doing it too. Did she mention... bananas? Whether it's the fact that Osgood's colleague Kate was also killed (though it later transpired that she had actually survived) or just our inability to let Osgood go, fans have refused to accept that she's gone for good. Anything can happen in Doctor Who, of course, but according to the man at its helm, Steven Moffat, this one was the real deal. He's even debunked suggestions that it was actually Osgood's Zygon that got killed so fans can't even cling onto that either. Life's a bitch. RIP.
