Face it; would you really want this woman to be your mother? Vapid, shallow, vain and lazy. She'll send you out to work while she lounges on the sofa in her dressing gown watching Jeremy Kyle with the telephone glued to her ear. Never mind your warning about aliens and living plastic; she'll hang her mobile phone up on you and continue late night shopping while you're busy trying to save lives and prevent a major alien takeover. Oh, and then she'll try to make millions out of you when your job "blows up" because she can't be bothered to get a job of her own. Try as I might, I simply cannot find it within myself to like Jackie. She may well love her daughter but, in the early days, she has a poor way of showing it. For me, she never does manage to redeem herself. When she meets Alternate Pete in Doomsday it isn't Pete she falls in love with; just the mansion and the millions.
