Doctor Who: 14 Most Paused Moments Of The Last Decade
10. Back To Life (The Doctor's Daughter)
The Tenth Doctor was pushed to his emotional limits back in Series 4 when he encountered his daughter (well, if someone who was artificially created in a progenation machine using a sample of his DNA even counts as his daughter), Jenny, whose real life alter ego, Georgia Moffett, is the off spring of Fifth Doctor actor Peter Davison and would later become David Tennant's wife, too. Because even Doctor Who actors like to keep it in the family... apparently. Back to the Whoniverse, though, and her creation heralded the start of a beautiful relationship but their time together was over before it had truly began when she heroically sacrificed herself by taking a bullet for her father. What he doesn't know, though, is that she actually lived to tale. She sprung back to life at the end of the episode and proceeded to steal a spaceship with the intent of embarking on her own universal escapades... because why the hell not? She's definitely her father's daughter in that regard. A gobsmacking development, though, because... well, it really looked like she was dead for a minute there, didn't it? What's more, the Doctor now has a family member (OK, so she isn't technically a family member, except for the fact she literally is!) out there that he doesn't even know about. Frustrating to say the least. Will they ever meet again? It certainly looked like it was on the cards, since Steven Moffat was the one who suggested Jenny survived, but unfortunately their long overdue reunion has yet to pass. There's always the fan fiction.
