9. The Abzorbaloff - Love and MonstersScreen Shot 2013-07-17 at 5.59.29 PM Yes, you're welcome for the picture. I'm going to be honest. I haven't rewatched "Love and Monsters" since the first time that I saw it, whereas I can quote almost every other episode from Season 2 (except for "The Girl in the Fireplace," which I'll get to). Despite my lack of rewatch, however, there are two scenes that have been unfortunately burned into my memory. One of them concerns the very disturbing implication of a certain type of "romance" between the episode's civilian protagonist and a slab of concrete that was once his girlfriend, who now only exists as a...face. The other scene that I recall with far too much clarity is the one in which the Abzorbaloff is revealed in all of his saggy green glory. Designed by a 9-year-old contest winner, the Abzorbaloff is a creature that absorbs people. Yes, you definitely wouldn't guess that it was created by a child still in single digits. This particular creature dies at the end of the episode, but there seem to be plenty like him living on his home planet of Clom, where they should absolutely stay, for just so many reasons.
