Here he is looking much happier, elated almost, as he often did in the face of impending doom. In this case he and Amy were about to be sucked into the bowels of a giant, space-borne star whale so it was just another day in the office for them, really. You'd never guess that his mood would soon be changed so drastically, though, but that was basically the Eleventh Doctor all over. Unpredictable until the very end. And don't you just love him even more for it?
