Doctor Who: 5 Worst Creature Designs From The New Series

3. Max Capricorn

maxcapricorn The Voyage of the Damned was the Doctor Who version of the Poseidon Adventure. Set aboard the star ship Titanic, the foe most seen in this episode were €˜The Host€™ which looked like the offspring of a Weeping Angel who had got its freak on with an Oscar statue. They however were not the main villain of the story. Instead we got Max Capricorn a bald old man with a gold tooth. So far so good right? Sounds like a Bond villain. But unfortunately not. Max Capricorn is only briefly seen as in videos aboard the Titanic for the best part of the episode, but then returns as a Cyborg for the final act. Cyborgs are cool, and can be scary emotionless monsters in many works of science fiction. Max on the other hand looks like someone beheaded a car salesman and put it on top of a washing machine. Originally Max was to be played by screen legend Dennis Hopper, but instead we got the wonderfully awful overacting of George Costigan.
