4. The New Look Daleks
Last time the Daleks went through a re-design, it wasn’t taken that well by anyone apart from former showrunner, Steven Moffatt. The only time you would see the Paradigm design after Victory of the Daleks was only ever in the background. Now in 2020, it seems that the Doctors oldest enemies are upgrading themselves.
Before the poster for the festive special was posted on Twitter, the only look we had at these new Daleks were a few on-set photos taken on someone’s mobile phone. Now, we can finally get a better look. It seems that the Daleks have kept the same look given to them in the 2019 special, Resolution. A few changes have clearly been made including the colour, the rounder head dome and a blue neon light coming from above the Daleks main body. The look is a huge change from the classic bronze style we've gotten used tom but I don't think it's the last we will be seeing of them.
One huge draw of the episode will be the return of Captain Jack once again going face-to-face with the Daleks.
