Doctor Who: 8 Best Jodie Whittaker Episodes
3. Village Of The Angels (2021)
Who doesn't love the Weeping Angels?
Steven Moffatt's most famous creation made a triumphant comeback in the fourth chapter of Doctor Who: Flux. There's no disputing that these spooky stone statues make for a fantastically horrifying Doctor Who episode, and Village of the Angels is no exception.
In this episode, the Doctor, Yaz, and Dan are in the Devon village of Medderton in 1967. However, the Weeping Angels have gradually taken over the village, sending Yaz and Dan back in time while the Doctor flees to hide in the residence of Professor Eustacius Jericho.
Village of the Angels is packed with highlights, such as the supporting characters of Jericho and Claire, the excellent twist and cliffhanger, and of course, the iconic stone-statue nightmare fuel. Although the sequences involving the Flux plot with Bel can be dull, the conclusion with the Doctor morphing into a Weeping Angel is a glorious distraction from the episode's shortcomings.
Oh, and don't blink!
