Doctor Who Cast: Where Are They Now?

6. Catherine Tate

Doctor Who Cast
BBC

The Role: Catherine Tate first appeared in a guest role as mouthy bride-to-be Donna in 2006 Christmas special The Runaway Bride before fleshing the character out to be a full-time companion. Tate also has the dubious honour of having the saddest companion exit ever, when Donna's mind was wiped of her adventures with the Doctor.

Where Is She Now? Previously most famous for her self-titled sketch show, Doctor Who was a rare dramatic role for Catherine Tate who has continued to appear in numerous comedy parts since leaving the show, including TV series such as Big School and This Is Jinsy and films like Nativity 3: Dude, Where's My Donkey?! (the franchise has somehow also claimed David Tennant and Martin Freeman in previous installments).

Her biggest role, though, has been the part of Nellie Bertram in the final three seasons of the American version of The Office. She can next be seen in Gold sitcom Do Not Disturb.
