6. Tony Osoba
DevonFire FilmsAnother actor not given his own announcement but still a name deemed worthy of revealing to the public, Tony Osoba is no stranger to Doctor Who. A veteran of stage and screen since the mid 70s, Osoba previously appeared in two separate classic serials, opposite two different Doctors. As Lan he appeared in all four episodes of Tom Baker's Destiny Of The Daleks, and he later portrayed Kracauer in Dragonfire, opposite Sylvester McCoy. His other credits include recurring roles in classic British sit-com Porridge (as well as spin-off Going Straight, and the feature film) and Dempsey and Makepeace. More recently he is currently playing the lead role in Extended Rest, a British Indie film currently in production. As an "also stars" name in the press release that publicised Hermione Norris' appearance we know that these two will appear in the same episode. Given this, there is always that possibility that "the scene of an old adventure" that the Doctor will be returning to may be one that featured Osoba (even if it is remote). Other than introducing companion Ace and featuring what has to be the most preposterous cliffhanger, Dragonfire wasn't a particularly stand out serial. Despite this, Lanzarote isn't the worst place to double as the Skaro, home planet of the Daleks as seen in Destiny.
