Doctor Who: The New Who TARDISes Ranked

1. The 11th Doctor's Golden Beauty

Doctor Who 11th Tardis I feel like this is a bit of a controversial choice but hey ho, it's my favourite. 2010 was when I really got into Doctor Who, with the much better production team, new head writer and overall more professional feel to the show. As I sat watching "The Eleventh Hour" and this beauty got unveiled for the first time I think I fell in love. Sure, it hasn't got as many roundels and the console is a bit silly at times, but it's a perfect reflection on The 11th Doctor's character. It's madcap and amazing, a machine that you could be in for days and not get bored of. It even has a typewriter, ketchup and mustard dispensers and the fantastic lever that sets it all off. In addition to the beautiful console and time rotor we have stairs leading up and down to different areas, finally giving us that sense of scale that the previous was lacking. There was also a whole new downstairs area below that fantastic glass floor, and one of my favourite images of New Who is still the be-goggled Doctor sitting in the harness surrounded by wires and immersing himself in his home. While we only get to see corridors of this interior in "The Doctor's Wife" it all pays off when we see the console room again, which is soon dancing with golden light. I was very sad to see this interior go and hope we get to see it again in the future. What do you think? Feel free to comment!
