Every Arrowverse Season Ranked From Worst To Best

1. The Flash Season 1

Perfect is a word that gets thrown around a little too often when describing entertainment simply because even the best of it can be improved upon. In spite of that, The Flash's first season was nothing short of perfection.

A heartwarming tale about a young hero who still had an idealistic view of the world even after suffering tragedy, The Flash was just about as far removed from its parent show (Arrow) as possible. But it was equally as effective in setting up its respective hero's story, as Barry Allen's lab accident and the subsequent abilities that he received only enhanced what was already there, setting the stage for the debut of the Arrowverse's greatest hero.

Attempting to free his wrongfully imprisoned father while also being a guardian angel for the people of Central City, the Scarlet Speedster was driven by the thought of using his speed to track down the "Man in the Yellow Suit" that killed his mother. It was this motivation that allowed the series to thrive, as it paved the way for a compelling mystery that ran the whole way throughout. And it didn't rush to its conclusion either; it was a marathon that expertly kept us guessing as it slowly built towards its explosive finale and dropped some major revelations along the way to increase the stakes.

With strong writing, a brilliant cast, admirable homages to the comics and an endearing performance from Grant Gustin at its heart, The Flash reinvigorated the superhero TV genre, setting a new standard that has yet to be surpassed.
