23. Kamelion

Kamelion Doctor Who
BBC Studios

Kamelion was a shape-changing robot who encountered the Fifth Doctor while under the influence of the Master. Despite his incredible abilities, the Doctor managed to see through him and free him from the Master's control, at least for a time.

After this, there wasn't really much for the character to do. He was easily overpowered by external forces, which made him a liability in the TARDIS. It was this that led to his decision to lock himself in his room, experiencing the Doctor's adventures remotely.

He once again fell under the Master's control, though this time he begged the Doctor to kill him. A slightly ignoble end for a character who could have had a fantastic arc!
