Every HBO Miniseries Ranked Worst To Best

Based on Jean Korelitz's novel "You Should Have Known", The Undoing stars Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant as a happy and wealthy couple whose lives are rocked when the husband is accused of murdering his mistress. What follows is a plot-twisting, he-said-she-said legal thriller that really lets Kidman and Grant dig into the psyche of their characters.

Unfortunately, unlike showrunner David E. Kelley's other project, Big Little Lies, The Undoing occasionally slips into boredom, struggling to keep up with its own plot-threads in an engaging manner. It's twisting and strange, and Grant in particular shines, but as a whole there is an air of lost potential with the series.
