Every Inside No. 9 Episode Ranked From Worst To Best

20. Hurry Up And Wait

Inside No 9
BBC

Plot: An actor in a true-crime drama is in a residential caravan waiting for filming to start, but he soon starts to suspect that the bizarre residents are connected to the case that is being dramatized.

Location: A caravan.

Hurry Up and Wait is another terrific season six episode.

Aside from that horrifying ending, this is one of the more comedic episodes and it delivers on the laughs time and time again. The cast is uniformly great, especially Adrian Dunbar playing a fictional version of himself, and practically every single joke is a hilarious knockout.

It's also wonderfully unpredictable; you'll probably think you've called the big twist quite early on but then the episode completely subverts your expectations.

Hurry Up and Wait might not have ranked hugely high on this list, but that mustn't be misinterpreted as reflecting negatively on the episode. It only really reflects the astonishingly high quality of most of the show's episodes.
