Every Love, Death & Robots Episode Ranked
23. Good Hunting
Produced with vibrant animation and a surprisingly neat blending of steampunk and fantasy, season one's Good Hunting might be the only Love, Death & Robots episode that could have genuinely benefitted from being a feature-length movie.
Its shortness aside, though, the episode still packs a mean punch, following a boy in 20th century China who forms a lifelong relationship with a shape-shifting fox spirit.
A stirring critique of oppression and an effective exploration of friendship and nature, Good Hunting is too slight to reveal all the layers of its potential, but even at this length it finds a way to linger in the mind.
