It’s very much a statement about Lisa and not about Chris that he finishes above the Simpson girl here. Chris too has declined a little bit since Family Guy’s start, but that’s only because recent seasons seem to have stopped writing for him.

He still gets dedicated Chris episodes or cutaways where his buffoonery pays off, but he’s less and less a part of the general background. Where Stewie, Brian or Peter can pop up every now and then with a gag, even if it’s not their plot, Chris is usually vacuum sealed in his own storylines.

Going off their respective highlight reels, he’s a much, much worse character than Lisa. Since his show hasn’t chopped him up into tiny pieces, extracted his soul then stitched him back together though, he claims the spot just above her.

His carefree spirit can be endearing, but Chris is often best when he’s played off as a weirdo. Recently, Brian and Stewie tried to cure him of his internet porn addiction, taking him to a boutique to look at the girls there.

Instead, he’s more interested in the disassembled mannequins who look ‘kinda afraid’. It’s this strange Chris we need to see more of, moving forward.
