14. Is That Captain Kirk Or The Comic Book Guy?

The Simpsons Homer Gorn
20th Television

The Squirt And The Whale, from the show's 21st season, was based around The Simpsons attempting to save a beached whale, hence the apt name.

Upon the whale's death, however, Springfield's residents decided to make use of its remains, with The Comic Book Guy using the leftovers to create corsets that he wore alongside Captian Kirk's uniform. Little by little, though, the corset begins to break, resulting in The Comic Book Guy correcting himself by saying he was now the captain from Star Trek one, then two, then five, and then Generations.

When the corset fully snaps, however, he instead wails out Boston Legal, referencing him appearing with his stomach hanging out the bottom of the corset in typical Comic Book Guy form.

At least he wasn't being creepy, though - there's an upside to everything.
