15. Do The Borg Want To Destroy The Earth?
Season 24's The Day The Earth Stood Cool actually featured not one, but two Star Trek references in it, the biggest of which came in the newspaper that Marge reads at Terrance and Emily's house titled The Onion. An article within this particular issue shows a Borg cube with the headline reading "Borg Decides Earth Not Worth Assimilating".
How kind of them.
As mentioned, the episode also features the Simpson family meeting Terrance and Emily, alongside their children T-Rex and Corduroy, and their pet armadillo, Chuey. It's T-Rex who Bart takes an immediate hatred towards for his negative attitude, resulting in a fight breaking out between them in the factory.
The background music that's played by the band inside the factory is the classic Star Trek fight music. Sure, it didn't really fit the vibe of such a meaningless fight, but hey, we can't not mention it.
