Every Umbrella Academy Episode Ranked Worst To Best

5. Season Two Episode Seven: Öga For Öga (S2E7)

The Umbrella Academy Season 2 Five
Netflix

This episode has one of the most explosive starts to any in the history of The Umbrella Academy, as Number 5 took to 1982 with an axe and murdered the Commission's entire board of directors. It is an incredible scene, and utterly unique in its execution, showing very little actual violence, instead depicting the moments in between.

From here, the episode almost felt like an ending, with Allison, Vanya, and Ben all seemingly rounding off their own personal story arcs. However, it was clear this was far from how the story would be settled, with another three episodes left. The team's failure to meet the deadline wasn't surprising at all.

Diego in particular has something of a rollercoaster ride in this episode, from stupidly thinking Öga for Öga was the name of Elliott's killer, to his wonderfully heart warming reunion with Ben. Number 2 proved that he really is one of the show's most versatile characters, and was the best aspect of this particular episode. 5's journey in this episode may have been the most action packed, but there was more character and substance to Diego's.
