There were several key moments in the third episode of season two that stand above the rest, some of which resonate as some of the most emotional in the entire series. The reveal that Lila is the Handler's daughter was shocking, but there was a lot more power and emotion in the episode.

From the start of the season, it was clear that Sissy struggled with her home life, trying to look after Harlan while putting up with a lying, inconsiderate husband that she no longer loves. One of the toughest scenes of the episode is a heartbreaking, thought provoking look into the family's struggles with Harlan's mental illness.

This was then followed by one of the most harrowing scenes in the series. Travelling back to the 1960's brought with it more issues for Allison than the rest of her siblings, highlighted more than ever by her and Ray's sit-in. This was tough to watch, but was done with such raw emotion and power that it truly stood out, even while having relatively little to do with the overall endgame of the season itself. It was impossible to watch this without feeling incredibly moved.
