2. Joan Collins Is Playing A Significant Role
American Horror Story is known for its powerhouse leading ladies, and the series producers have just secured another one for Apocalypse. Joan Collins will be joining the horror anthology series in an undisclosed role.
On her casting, Collins had this to say:
"I met Ryan Murphy at the Vanity Fair Oscar party, and we had a lovely conversation, but I really didn’t think much more of it. Two weeks later we go to see Barbra Streisand at the PaleyFest, and I didn’t know Ryan was going to be interviewing her. We go backstage afterward to see Barbra, and Ryan says, ‘I just made an offer to you!'”
Collins will no doubt make a great addition to the already star-studded show. The celebrated actress has made a career for herself portraying antagonistic characters, but it's her role in primetime soap Dynasty that she's fondly remembered for. With Kathy Bates and Jessica Lange both having signed on for Apocalypse, we're hoping to see plenty of soap-like fights between these AHS stalwarts and Collins.
